An exclusive Treatment Facility for First Responders, Hospital Critical Care Staff, and Active Military Personnel
First Responders, Emergency Room Staff, and Soldiers are exposed to extreme levels of trauma and toxic stress. The cumulative stress of the job compounds overtime. For many, this can result in a life expectancy that is 15-20 years less than that of the rest of the working population, on average. Police Officers are lost to suicide at more than three times the rate of civilians. Substance Use Disorders are near 40% for Paramedics and EMT's. Studies show that 35-40% of ER Nurses experience depression, anxiety, and burnout. Suicide rates for junior enlisted ranks in the U. S. Army and Marine Corps are the highest among all personnel in their respective branches. They all experience chronic medical issues and suffer from depression, anxiety, and PTSD at rates that far exceed the national average. They also experience higher divorce rates than the rest of the population.
Valor Station-Augusta is an Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization Program, specifically designed for our nation’s heroes. We offer a beautiful supportive housing facility for our out-of-town clients. Constructed just prior to the Civil War, it feels more like home than a “facility.”
