How does Valor Station house clients?
Valor Station has supportive housing available for clients who come to our IOP from out-of-town in a beautifully renovated historic home adjacent to our treatment center.
How do I get to Valor Station?
There are three (3) airports within two hours of Valor Station (Hartsfield-Jackson International, Columbia Metropolitan, Augusta Regional). Augusta Regional Airport is approximately ten (10) minutes from our campus. Our Intake Coordinators are ready to work with you to accommodate your travel needs as best that we can.
Are meals provided?
Meals are provided to our clients at Valor Station Augusta. We have a commercial kitchen and one full-time and two part-time chefs. Valor Station will provide three (3) meals per day, along with snacks and beverages throughout your stay. We will accommodate those with dietary restrictions and/or food allergies whenever possible. Please make our Staff aware of any dietary needs and/or restrictions as soon as possible.
Can I bring my cell phone, laptop, iPad, etc.?
Valor Station has a zero-tolerance recording/photo policy, therefore all phones, tablets, smart watches, etc. are not permitted during sessions or while inside the building at 404 Telfair Street. This is to ensure privacy and confidentiality, as well as to assist the client to focus on treatment. Cell phones and other internet-connected devices may be used on breaks and upon completion of the day’s activities.
What is your visitation policy?
Generally, there is no visitation at Valor Station Augusta. Exceptions may be made based on Treatment Team approval of a scheduled visit.
What should I bring?
Washer and dryer are available on-site. We will also provide laundry detergent.
Comfortable, casual clothing. Sneakers or other-type comfortable shoes are recommended. Off-site activities will be conducted during your stay, so please have attire available for outdoor activities (e.g., shoes for walking, sweatshirts, etc.).
Socks and underwear (hopefully obvious)
Alarm clock/wristwatch (*cell phones/smart watches may be secured at times, so don’t rely on that).
Toiletries: shampoo and soap provided. Bring your toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
Medications: Please bring existing medications in the original bottles.
Insurance card, Driver’s license or photo ID, credit card.
Tobacco products, vapes, etc. are only permitted in designated areas outside of Valor Station properties.
What should I not bring?
Alcohol, drugs, or drug paraphernalia. These items are not permitted in Valor Station properties.
Clothing with offensive slogans, political, or controversial images and/or messages. Activities may be in the community, and Valor Station intends to avoid any potentially offensive matters with the community and our employees.
Food/beverages (these will be provided for you).
Weapons and/or other dangerous instruments.
Large amounts of cash and/or valuables (Valor Station has a safe to secure valuables upon request).
Linens, towels, pillows, etc.
Can I receive mail and/or care packages while I am staying at Valor Station?
