PURPOSE
Valor Station-Augusta is a Behavioral Health Treatment Facility exclusively for First Responders. Valor Station seeks to provide First Responders with a safe environment to receive treatment in a specialized program that traditional facilities do not and cannot offer. We seek to provide clients with a safe, supportive environment for treatment. We developed Valor Station with input from Law Enforcement and First Responders from all over the country, along with clinicians who specialize in treating trauma. Our holistic approach to treatment for all public safety personnel is developed with the goal of helping clients resume their respective careers healthier and more productive.
CARE
Valor Station-Augusta is an Intensive Outpatient Program that treats trauma in First Responders. We have fully licensed mental health providers, peer specialists, and medical staff that provides comprehensive treatment and discharge planning. Our program is generally four weeks long but may be shortened or extended based on individual needs. We provide group, individual, and couples therapy, using CPT, DBT for trauma, Prolonged Exposure and EMDR. Starting in May 2025, we will be providing individual outpatient for some clients. *
GOAL
Valor Station-Augusta strives to improve behavioral health, resiliency, recovery, health, wellness, and quality of life through the provision of specialized treatment and behavioral health services to First Responders. Our goal is to return First Responders back to their agencies, families, and communities happier, healthier, and more productive. We will also provide First Responders with the tools to continue to address prolonged, chronic, and cumulative exposure to potentially traumatic incidents, loss, and extreme stress. These tools will allow First Responders to combat PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, suicidal ideation and attempts.
